SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to the tobacco industry, namely, to an aerosol-cooling element for an aerosol-generating article, to an aerosol-generating article, a method for manufacturing the aerosol-cooling element, a method for manufacturing the aerosol-generating article, an apparatus for manufacturing the aerosol-cooling element. The aerosol-cooling element for an aerosol-generating article comprises an inner structure made by corrugating and bending a sheet material, forming a cylindrical rod with a length C1 of the circumference in the absence of any external compression forces. The cooling element comprises a wrapping material secured around the internal structure, forming a rod with a length C2 of the circumference. The wrapping material has a first section welded with a second section of the wrapping material. The inner structure is compressed under the impact of the wrapping material when the wrapping material is secured around the inner structure. The quotient C1/C2 is in the range from 1.2 to 6. Also disclosed are an aerosol-generating article, a method for manufacturing the aerosol-cooling element, a method for manufacturing the aerosol-generating article, an apparatus for manufacturing the aerosol-cooling element.
EFFECT: improved quality of assembly of the aerosol-cooling element and improved heat exchange between the cooling element and the aerosol passing through the element.
