FIELD: polymers.

SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to a modified polymer based on conjugated diene and to a rubber composition. The modified polymer contains a repeating unit produced from a conjugated diene monomer, a functional group produced from a modifier, and 30 to 45% wt. of a repeating unit produced from an aromatic vinyl monomer. The modifier constitutes a modifier with an affinity for silicon dioxide. The modified polymer based on conjugated diene has a unimodal molecular weight distribution curve in gel permeation chromatography, a molecular weight distribution of 1.0 to less than 1.7 and a silicon content of 100 to 10,000 ppm calculated by weight. The rubber composition comprises a modified polymer based on conjugated diene and filler.

EFFECT: resulting modified polymer has great processability, good physical properties such as tensile properties and great viscoelasticity.
