FIELD: mobile communications.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to mobile communications. A wireless terminal device with multiple connections and a base station provide a handover for a subset of channels associated with a wireless terminal device with multiple connections. The channel subset contains the number of channels less than the number of all channels associated with the wireless terminal device. Thus, after the handover procedure is completed, at least one channel will remain connected to the original base station.
EFFECT: increased communication system throughput.
