FIELD: welding tools.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used to obtain permanent joints by friction welding with mixing of sheet blanks made of titanium and its alloys. The welding device is equipped with a liquid cooling system in the form of channels and cavities for the circulation of the cooling liquid. The supply and discharge of the cooling liquid is carried out through spindles mounted in a hollow cylindrical case, which is rigidly fixed to the case fixed part of the spindle assembly. Inside the mentioned case, there is an adapter for attaching the welding tool holder to the rotating shaft of the spindle assembly. The tool holder has a through central hole in which the tool is placed, having an internal cavity for the cooling liquid entering through a branch pipe passing through the central hole of the holder. The tool is made of a heat-resistant nickel-based alloy.
EFFECT: invention provides an increase in the durability of the tool due to the choice of its material and effective cooling of the device during the welding process.
