FIELD: mechanical engineering.

SUBSTANCE: disclosed is a safe clamping apparatus (100) for releasable securing of a body piercing pin. The pin (202) goes through a hole (104) in the plate (102) to be secured (releasably) between a pair of elastic console elements (110A, 110B) bent outward from the edges of the plate (102) to the required position on the rear side of the plate. A dome-shaped protective shield (108) is also attached to the edge of the plate (102), said shield covering the elastic console elements (110A, 110B) on the rear side of the clamping apparatus (100), wherein the dome-shaped protective shield (108) includes one or more ventilation holes (116) for reducing moisture buildup inside the dome-shaped protective shield (108). The dome-shaped protective shield (108) prevents contact of the end of the pin (202) passing between the cantilever elastic elements (110A, 110B) with the user and possible piercing of skin. The plate (102), the dome-shaped shield (108), and the elastic console elements (110A, 110B) can be efficiently formed by moulding and stamping from a single preform of material.
