SUBSTANCE: group of inventions is claimed represents variants of an aerosol device, methods for controlling such devices and a computer-readable data carrier containing a device control program. The aerosol device contains a storage unit that contains an aerosol source or an aerosol carrier material in which the aerosol source is held, a load that sprays the aerosol source by exposure to heat generated by energy supplied from the power source, and has an electrical resistance value that varies depending on temperature. The sensor determines the value of the electrical resistance of the load or the electrical value depending on the electrical resistance. The control unit is designed to monitor the process of cooling the load after the load temperature has increased to or above the temperature at which the aerosol source can be sprayed, according to successive time changes in the value determined by the sensor, in such a way that a correlation is maintained between successive time changes in the value determined by the sensor and a decrease in the load temperature.

EFFECT: provided is possibility, without high costs, to trace the cooling process of the heater with high accuracy, as well as to determine the insufficiency or exhaustion of the aerosol source with high accuracy.
