SUBSTANCE: invention relates to radiochemistry and radioecology, it can be used for the production of sorbents based on tungsten bronzes, selective to strontium-90. A method for producing tungsten oxides by liquid-phase reduction at a pH of at least 2 of the hydrolysable sodium tungstate salt with a solution of titanium(III) chloride stabilized with hydrochloric acid to hydrated tungstate complexes, with further filtration of the product with washing, drying of the precipitate in air to a constant weight, and subsequent thermal dehydration of the precipitate at a temperature of 100ºC to 900ºC, characterized by the absence of an organic template in the reaction mixture, is described.

EFFECT: invention is aimed at simplifying the production process and reducing the cost of its implementation by directly obtaining tungsten bronzes as the final product, reducing the number of intermediate stages, the number of reagents used and reducing energy costs, the proposed method allows varying the phase composition of the resulting material and adjusting its sorption characteristics.
