FIELD: synthetic aluminosilicate production.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to methods for producing synthetic barium-containing aluminosilicate, which can be used as a sorbent for the extraction of strontium radionuclides from aqueous media, including those with complex ionic composition and containing competing cations, while rice straw is used as one of the main components of the feedstock, which is a large-scale agricultural waste. The method includes synthesis at 85-95°C in a system containing aluminum chloride AlCl3, barium chloride BaCl2as initial components, and a hydrolyzate as a source of silicon dioxide. The hydrolyzate is obtained by processing crushed rice straw with 0.5-1.0 M NaOH or KOH solution at S:L=1:13-15 and temperature 85-90°C for 1.0-1.5 hours. A solution containing barium chloride BaCl2⋅6H2O and aluminum chloride AlCl3⋅6H2O in a mass ratio of 1:2 is mixed with the filtered hydrolyzate. The hydrolyzate is obtained by processing 15-17 weight parts of rice straw, HCl is added, bringing the pH value of the reaction mixture to 7, the precipitate of the aluminosilicate sorbent is filtered, washed and dried.

EFFECT: invention improves the efficiency of selective extraction of strontium radionuclides from aqueous solutions.
