FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to chemical industry and can be used to produce synthetic zeolite used as a sorbent for immobilisation of Cs-137 radionuclide. Disclosed is a method of producing an aluminosilicate sorbent, involving mixing liquid glass solutions and a chemical compound of aluminium, sodium, crystallisation of the obtained alumosilicon gel and its washing with distilled water, followed by drying, in which aqueous solutions of 21 M NaOH, 0.45 M are mixed to prepare alumosilica gel Al2(SO4)3∙18H2O and 0.84 M Na2SiO3∙5H2O at their volume ratio of 1:2:18, respectively, then the obtained alumosilicon gel is stirred for 30 minutes and crystallized in a hydrothermal reactor at temperature of 110–180 °C and pressure of 143.2–1001.9 kPa for 6 hours, the formed zeolite precipitate is separated and washed with distilled water, followed by drying.
EFFECT: providing ratio SiO2/Al2O3 within 8.5–10.5; providing high sorption characteristics and reducing labour intensity owing to reducing the amount of reagents used.
