FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to medicine, namely to an apparatus for defibrillation and method for defibrillation. The defibrillation apparatus has a low voltage area and a high voltage area. The low voltage area is connected by the transmitter with the high voltage area. Electrodes are located in the high voltage area. The power supply, power electronics and energy storage unit are located in the low voltage area. A converter for converting a current pulse from the low voltage area to the high voltage area is made as a resonant converter; wherein the transmitter is part of the converter. The defibrillation method is implemented by the defibrillation apparatus. Wherein energy is transmitted from the low voltage area to the high voltage area and a current pulse is generated and directed to electrodes in the high voltage area.
EFFECT: defibrillation method and apparatus for implementation thereof are provided, wherein reliability and availability thereof are increased by positioning control components in the low voltage area and connecting said area to the high voltage area using a resonant converter.
