FIELD: traffic safety.
SUBSTANCE: method of increasing safety of pedestrian traffic includes choosing a movable support, adjusting the height thereof and placing a reflective element on the movable support, wherein the reflective element is placed in a ring on the movable support in the light-dark area around the vertical center of the support and is made in the form of a yellow 983-series diamond-type 3M tape placed in a ring around the movable support at a height of 145 to 600 mm from the ground surface. When the vehicle is moving and the distance between the vehicle and the person is reducing, the upper reflective element moves from the light-dark area to the low beam area.
EFFECT: increased pedestrian traffic safety.
