FIELD: electrical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to electrical engineering, namely to an explosion-proof case with internal pressure relief. The case device has an inner cavity for installing the components, which may represent sources of explosion initiation. The case device also has an incomplete case located in or on case, the inner cavity of which serves as pressure relief volume. Both inner cavities are connected via through hole having gas-permeable and fire-blocking device made of gas-permeable porous element, which has a throttling and cooling effect on the gas flow passing through it.
EFFECT: increased efficiency of lowering the pressure peaks in the case.
