FIELD: electrical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: explosion-proof housing (10) in design "explosion-proof enclosure" (ex-d), limiting inner cavity (11), in which are placed electrical components, which can form sources of explosion initiation. Explosion-proof housing has part (18) of housing, in which pressure relief hole (12) is made. At least one pressure relief element (13) has two facing flat sides (14, 15) and edge surface (16) connecting flat sides (14, 15), pressure relief element (13) is located on pressure relief hole (12) and is connected to part (18) of the housing, in which pressure relief hole (12) is made, by a permanent connection. Edge surface (16) of pressure relief element (13) is formed by fused layer (20) extending from one flat side (14) to the other flat side (15).
EFFECT: higher safety by preventing flame or incandescent particles flash back, to exclude ignition of explosive atmosphere outside the housing.
