FIELD: biology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to biotechnology, particularly to an O-succinylhomoserine transferase mutant, a polynucleotide for encoding this mutant, a microorganism containing the mutant and a method of synthesis of O-succinylhomoserine and L-methionine using the microorganism. Proposed is polypeptide with O-succinyl homoserine transferase activity comprising amino acid substitution at position 313 in the amino acid sequence of SEQ ID NO: 1 with arginine and an amino acid substitution at position 176 in the amino acid sequence of SEQ ID NO: 1 with an amino acid other than glutamine.
EFFECT: invention allows synthesizing L-methionine with a high degree of efficiency.
