FIELD: computing.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to computing. A method for creating a copy of an anatomical structure includes receiving a plurality of images of the anatomical structure of a subject, each image of the plurality of images being obtained from a different angle of view relative to the anatomical structure; creating an object file containing the original model of the outer surface of the anatomical structure; trimming the original model to a predetermined external shape describing the anatomical structure, the trimming resulting in a positive model of the anatomical structure within the predetermined external shape; creation of a negative model of the anatomical structure based on the positive model; placing the rod tool object on the outer surface of the negative model relative to the hole of the anatomical structure, and thereby creating the final negative model; printing, by means of a 3D printer, the final negative model to create a negative mold; and casting a copy of the anatomical structure using a negative mold.
EFFECT: technical result consists in reducing the cycle time when creating copies of anatomical structures.
