FIELD: internal combustion engine.

SUBSTANCE: group of inventions is proposed containing sliding elements that can be used for an internal combustion engine. The sliding element contains a substrate and a coating layer formed on the substrate. The coating layer contains a portion of inorganic material obtained from at least one type of inorganic particles selected from the group consisting of iron-based alloy particles, cobalt-based alloy particles, chromium-based alloy particles, nickel-based alloy particles, alloy particles based on molybdenum and ceramic particles, and a section of metal material obtained from at least one type of metal particles selected from the group consisting of particles of an alloy based on iron other than those listed in the above group, particles of copper and particles of copper alloy. Sections of inorganic and metallic materials are connected to each other along the interface. In another embodiment, the sliding element comprises a substrate and a coating layer formed on the substrate, wherein the coating layer comprises a section of an inorganic material obtained from particles of a solid material with a Vickers hardness of 500 HV or more and up to 1500 HV or less, and a section of a metallic material obtained from particles of a soft material with a Vickers hardness of less than 500 HV. The inorganic and metallic sections are connected to each other along the interface. These sliding elements contain a boundary layer comprising at least one diffusion layer or an intermetallic layer at at least one section of the interface between the substrate and the coating layer or the interface between the inorganic and metallic sections. EFFECT: sliding element and a sliding element for the internal combustion engine are provided, having improved wear resistance and thermal conductivity.
