FIELD: carbon composite materials.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to carbon composite materials, products from which are intended for the aerospace and chemical-metallurgical industries, operating at high temperatures in non-oxidizing environments. A method of manufacturing products from a carbon-carbon composite material in the form of a shell, including the formation of a framework of a volumetric structure from carbon fibers by working it out on a forming mandrel installed in a circular weaving machine and saturating it with pyrocarbon from the gas phase, consists in the fact that the working time of the framework and its saturation are carried out on the same forming mandrel made of heat-resistant material with a separating layer formed on it. Newsprint, cellophane, graphite foil, and a coating of heat-resistant low-permeability material are used as the material of the separating layer. The forming mandrel is made of a material with a CTE exceeding the CTE of the formed carbon-carbon composite material. In the manufacture of products of a conical or ogival shape, the frame is fixed on a mandrel by making a cylindrical section or a section with a reverse taper on it from the side of the larger diameter or with pins made of heat-resistant material.
EFFECT: invention makes it possible to reduce the costs and the cycle for the manufacture of products in the form of conical, cylindrical-conical and ogival shells.
