SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, in particular to transplantation and clinical laboratory diagnostics. A method is proposed for predicting the course of the early postoperative period in patients after liver transplantation by assessing the number of platelets in the blood. The patient's blood platelet count is determined over time before surgery, on the 3rd and 10th day after transplantation. If on the 10th day the number of platelets exceeds the preoperative value, then a favorable outcome is predicted. If on the 10th day the number of platelets increases compared to the 3rd day, but does not recover to the preoperative level, then the development of graft dysfunction is predicted. If the number of platelets on the 10th day also does not exceed the preoperative level, but on the 3rd day <70×109 / L, then a fatal outcome is predicted in the early period.

EFFECT: invention makes it possible to reliably predict the course of the early postoperative period while maintaining simplicity, availability of research that does not require a long time, unique reagents and devices.
