FIELD: medical science.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, specifically to transplantology and clinical laboratory diagnostics, and can be used to predict chronic graft dysfunction requiring a replacement renal therapy and subsequent retransplantation, in the remote period after kidney transplantation. In the second-fourth month after the kidney transplantation, the concentration of transforming growth factor beta-1 (TGF-β1) in serum of venous blood of kidney recipient and glomerular filtration rate (GFR) of transplant are determined. Development of chronic graft dysfunction requiring replacement renal therapy and subsequent kidney retransplantation within 1 to 5 years after kidney transplantation is predicted at TGF-β1 more than 116 ng/ml and graft GFR less than 34 ml/min/1.73 m2.

EFFECT: method provides the possibility of non-invasive prediction of the unfavourable remote outcome of kidney transplantation in recipients by determining indicators reflecting the state of the patient's body, starting from second to fourth month after transplantation, based on measurement of concentration of TGF-β1 in venous blood serum and graft SCF.
