SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a device for chlorination of titanium-containing raw materials in a molten chloride salt. A device for chlorination of titanium-containing raw materials in a molten chloride salt containing a shell, lined upper cylindrical chamber of the vapor-gas mixture and a chlorination chamber, graphite electrodes, a bottom, tuyeres, chlorine inlets, a charge loading unit located directly on the chlorination chamber, an upper drain with a pocket, and a chlorination chamber made in the form of an overturned truncated cone with an inclination of the generatrix to the axis of the chamber 15-25°, with the ratio of the diameters of the hearth, the chamber of the vapor-gas mixture and the height of the chlorination chamber 1:(1.2-1.5):(3.5-4.5) characterized in that the casing is made with stiffening ribs in the area of the chlorination chamber and the upper drain pocket, the upper drain pocket is lined with a graphite die, and the tuyeres are made with a compressed air supply unit, including hoses with a metal double tube.
EFFECT: increased service life of the device, decreased raw materials.
