FIELD: non-ferrous metallurgy. SUBSTANCE: the device has lined shaft 1 separated into chlorination camber 2 and vapor-gas mixture chamber 3. The chlorination chamber is made in the form of a truncated cone, whose smaller side faces the shaft lower part. The vapor-gas mixture chamber has a cylindrical shape with a permanent diameter in the whole height. The relation between the diameter of the shaft lower part and the diameter of the upper part of shaft 1 equals 1:(1.02-1.05), the relation between the height of the chlorination chamber and the height of the vapor-gas chamber equals 1: (2.2-2.3), the relation between the height of the chlorination chamber and the total height of the shaft equals 1:(3.2-3.3). Radially positioned in the lower part of the chlorination chamber are the lances for feeding of chlorine at an angle of 45 to 55 deg. to the horizontal axis. EFFECT: enhanced capacity. 6 cl, 2 dwg
