Proposed are: a composition for cryopreservation of cells obtained from human umbilical cord tissue containing amino acids, inorganic salts, DMSO, lactobionic acid, glutadion, dextrose, sucrose and mannitol (variants); a set containing the specified composition; a method for cryopreservation of cells, including cooling of the specified composition and cells obtained from human umbilical cord tissue at a rate of -1.0 C / min to reach a temperature of about -45.0 C and further cooling to reach a storage temperature of about -120.0 C (variants).

EFFECT: inventions provide cell survival during cryopreservation and preserve the integrity of the drug during thawing.
