METHOD FOR CALCULATING DOSE OF DEXAMETHAZONE FOR DEVELOPMENT OF BIOLOGICAL MODEL OF IMMUNOSUPPRESSION IN MICE Russian patent published in 2021 - IPC G09B23/28

Abstract RU 2748123 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to experimental medicine, and can be used to develop a biological model of immunosuppression in mice. The method according to the invention includes recalculation of the maximum daily dose of dexamethasone used for a person with an average body weight of 70 kg, which is 0.143 mg / kg / day, per mouse, taking into account the dose conversion factor (DCF). DCF is the ratio of Ranimal to Rhuman, where R is the ratio of body surface to body weight, respectively, of an animal and a person, characterizes the difference in the metabolic rate of the administered drug between a mouse and a person and is equal to 11.87. The human dose of dexamethasone 0.143 mg / kg / day is multiplied by this DCF (11.87); the dose of the drug is calculated in mg of the drug per animal per day, taking into account the body weight of a particular animal. The calculated dose of dexamethasone for the animal increases by another 20%, which creates a reliable state of immunosuppression in the body of the biological model, which is confirmed in an experiment on nonlinear white mice, which were injected intraperitoneally with dexamethasone three times daily at a reasonable dose of 0.04 mg per animal per day.

EFFECT: use of the invention makes it possible to develop a method for calculating the dose of dexamethasone to create a biological model of immunosuppression in mice, which provides a reliable decrease in the parameters of cellular immunity, which is a prerequisite for the development of a model of immunosuppression.
