SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of mechanical engineering and can be used, for example, in the production of sucker rods for oil production by installations of downhole sucker-rod pumps. The manufacturing method includes rolling a bar, its machining and correct-polishing processing to obtain a rod body, making separate threaded heads with a rolled thread and connecting them to the ends of the rod body by friction welding. In this case, the threaded heads are made with a tapered recess, and the ends of the rod body are made with a truncated tapered shape and a length less than the length of the tapered recess of the threaded heads, and before friction welding, the truncated tapered ends of the rod body are inserted into the tapered recesses of the corresponding threaded heads to ensure the coaxial connection of the rod body and threaded heads.
EFFECT: use of the invention improves quality and reliability of connecting rod elements.
