FIELD: measurement.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to methods of measuring consumption of streams of substances. Method of measuring mass flow rate of gaseous substance flowing through pipeline consists in that flow of controlled medium is heated by microwave radiation. First, gaseous substance flow temperature is measured at heat transfer of flow due to its heat conductivity depending on density. Then, gaseous substance flow temperature is measured at heat transfer due to convection depending on flow rate. Mass flow rate is calculated by converting the measured velocity and density.

EFFECT: technical result is higher accuracy of measuring mass flow rate of gaseous flow in pipeline.
