FIELD: automotive industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the automotive industry, in particular to the field of passenger safety while driving on wheeled vehicles, and in particular to mechanical devices for longitudinal movement and fixation of seats in the vehicle interior. The device for longitudinal movement and fixation of the seat in the vehicle compartment contains a guide, a base that moves along the guide, and a locking mechanism containing a cam rigidly connected to a lever, when acted upon, the cam moves around its axis of rotation, and a pivot element connected to the clamping bar. In this case, the axes of rotation of the cam and the rotary element are located on the slider. The guide is made in the form of two C-shaped profiles, one of which is inserted into the other, rigidly connected to each other and facing the base with the open side. At the same time, grooves are made in the shelves of the open side of the inner C-shaped profile, and the clamping bar is located inside the C-shaped profiles and is connected to the pivot element by at least two bolts, each of which has a broadening corresponding to the grooves on the shelves of the open side of the inner C- shaped profile.
EFFECT: increases safety during vehicle operation.
