FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to radiation diagnosis, and can be used for differential diagnosis of benign and malignant liver tumors in children. Images are acquired using magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). In this case, MRI is performed in the modes T1 and T2 of weighted images (WI), dynamic contrast enhancement, diffusion-weighted image (DWI). The signal intensity is measured in the lesion focus, intact liver parenchyma, kidney, aorta. After that the indicator A: A=1/(1+e-Z) is calculated, where Z=6.25019+1.03132 x size in the largest dimension +1.30077 x intensity of the T2 signal of the WI focus/liver - 0.00459 x measured coefficient diffusion (ICD) focus +4.01375 x intensity of the T1 WI signal focus / aorta - 2.05533 x intensity of the T1 WI signal in the arterial phase focus/liver - 2.55823 x intensity of the T1 WI signal in the portal phase focus / kidney +7, 56980 x the intensity of the T1 WI signal in the focus / kidney phase delayed by 5 minutes - 15.91047 x the intensity of the T1 WI signal in the focus / aorta phase delayed by 5 minutes. The size in the largest dimension at a value of 0-1 cm is equal to 1, at 1-2 cm is equal to 2, at 2-5 cm is equal to 3, at a value of more than 5 cm is equal to 4. At a value of A> 0.5, the lesion under study has a malignant nature, if A≤0.5, then the tumor is benign.
EFFECT: method provides differential diagnosis of benign and malignant liver tumors in children due to a combination of diagnostic criteria.
