SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to a disposable diaper (1) comprised of a liquid holding absorbent core (40) and a skin-facing fibrous structure (10) located on the side of the surface of the absorbent core (40) facing the skin. In a plan view of the disposable diaper (1) from the skin-facing surface the skin-facing fibrous structure (10) has multiple low density regions (LR) with a relatively low fiber density and a high density region (HR) with a relatively high fiber density, and each of the low density regions (LR) is surrounded by a high density region (HR). The skin-facing fibrous structure (10) comprises a top sheet (2) located on the side of the surface facing the skin.
