FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a melting furnace for producing metal alloys. The furnace contains a furnace column, a crucible with a lid made with possibility of vertical movement along the axis of the furnace column and along other axes, a consumable electrode, a conductive rod for placing a consumable electrode on it, made with possibility of simultaneous rotation around its own axis and with possibility of movement along its own axis, as well as along or around other axes in the melting process, a power supply system for supplying current to the electrode through the conductive rod of the electrode, an electrode carriage for moving the current-carrying rod, held on the column of the furnace, a rotary mechanism for rotating the conductive rod of the electrode around its axis.
EFFECT: invention provides ability to accurately track and align the electrode, thereby increasing stability of the melting process.
