FIELD: radiolocation.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of radiolocation, it can be used in a radar station with a synthesized antenna aperture installed on an unmanned aerial vehicle for rapid determination of terrain. By the criterion of the maximum gradient of the local entropy area, pairs of reference points are determined, which correspond to the radar shadow on a pair of modules of synthesized two-dimensional complex radar images obtained when shooting a surface area from different viewing angles. The gradient of the local entropy area is calculated from a pair of synthesized two-dimensional complex radar images obtained when shooting the selected surface area from different viewing angles. Based on the maxima of the calculated values found using threshold processing or clustering, pairs of reference points are determined for subsequent spatial alignment of images using the correlation method.
EFFECT: increased accuracy of the terrain elevation estimation.
