FIELD: nuclear power.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a self-locking device for nuclear fuel locking equipment for fixing and releasing nuclear fuel located in a nuclear reactor in a given position, and nuclear fuel locking equipment having such a device. The self-locking device contains the locking rod and the magnetic section. The self-locking device includes a retractable rod containing a groove made recessed on side surface of the rod and a ball guide assembly containing a ball made corresponding to the groove, so that the ball is located in the groove when it is moved up and down to fix the retractable rod to limit movement at a given height or to release a position in which movement is limited.
EFFECT: invention provides reliable function of locking or unlocking nuclear fuel.
