FIELD: protective screens.
SUBSTANCE: invention is used for evaluating the effectiveness of protective screens made of composite materials. The essence of the invention lies in the fact that the package of composite material, consisting of at least several layers, is irradiated with an X-ray flux, while after the package of composite materials is irradiated with X-ray radiation, the package is disassembled into layers, each layer of the package is exposed to ultrajet, and the dependence of the intensity of the formation of hydrocaverns depending on the distance of the layer from the radiation source, according to the depth of which the effectiveness of the protective screens is evaluated.
EFFECT: invention is aimed at ensuring possibility of assessing the radiation resistance of composite materials and the selection of appropriate layers of the composite material package with the highest effective protection against ionizing radiation.
