FIELD: composite materials.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to ultra-jet diagnostics of composite materials and parts made from them used in aviation, rocket and space technology, mechanical engineering, shipbuilding and other industries. Essence: the test sample is exposed to an ultra-jet of liquid under a pressure of at least 200 MPa when supplied for a time that ensures its uniform impact on the entire surface of the sample. After exposure to the ultrajet, a visual comparison is made of the magnitude of the change in the thickness of the sample surface, the area of destruction of its surface due to erosive wear, and the quality is assessed by the presence and size of an internal defect in the material and the strength of adhesion and autohesion.
EFFECT: providing the opportunity to develop technology and select materials for the manufacture of products from composite materials by hydroerosive destruction of the surface layer of samples due to exposure to an ultrajet of water and improving the quality of the ultrajet diagnostic (UJD) procedure.
