DETERMINING THE WOUND CONDITION Russian patent published in 2021 - IPC A61F13/00 A61F13/84 A61L15/00 A61L15/38 A61L15/56 C12Q1/37 C12M1/00 A61B5/00

Abstract RU 2749326 C2

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to products and related methods for determining the condition of a wound, which may be a chronic wound. The wound monitoring product contains: a) a sample application zone to which the wound fluid is added; b) a reaction zone downstream of the sample application zone containing protease-sensitive polymers; a zone containing colored particles downstream of the sample application zone; d) a viewing zone downstream of the sample application zone, a reaction zone, and a zone containing colored particles. The sample application zone transfers the fluid in the direction of the viewing zone, and polymer degradation due to the protease activity present in the wound fluid leads to the transfer of colored particles with the wound fluid to the viewing zone, thereby providing a visual indication of the protease activity in the viewing zone. Colored particles are enclosed in polymers, and degradation of the polymers due to protease activity present in the wound fluid results in the release of colored particles into the viewing zone, thereby providing a visual indication of protease activity in the wound fluid through the viewing zone; or the reaction zone forms a barrier that prevents the wound fluid from entering the viewing zone, and the degradation of polymers due to protease activity present in the wound fluid, optionally above a threshold level, destroys the barrier and causes the transfer of colored particles into the viewing zone, thereby providing a visual indication of protease activity in the wound fluid through the viewing zone. Methods for monitoring the wound condition are also provided.

EFFECT: obtaining sensitive and inexpensive means for monitoring the wound condition.
