METHOD FOR SURGICAL TREATMENT OF PATIENTS WITH LARGE VENTRAL HERNIAS Russian patent published in 2021 - IPC A61B17/00 A61F13/02

Abstract RU 2749768 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to surgery, herniology. In the preoperative period, kinesio tapes are used, with a tension of 75%, which are applied in the transverse direction relative to the midline of the abdomen, overlapping the entire hernial protrusion, fixing them so that the lateral edges of the lateral abdominal muscles are captured. The kinesio taping procedure in the preoperative period is carried out in courses, each of which is carried out once every 1 or 2 weeks, lasting 5 days, a total of 7 or 8 courses are carried out. In the postoperative period, kinesio tapes are applied to the entire area of the performed prosthetics in the transverse direction relative to the midline so that the lateral edges of the lateral abdominal muscles are captured and kinesio taping is performed using tapes with a tension of 50%, in two courses, each of which - once a week, lasting 5 days.

EFFECT: method makes it possible to reduce the size of the hernia before the operation, which will reduce the operation time, its volume and size of the endoprosthesis, reduce the risk of developing the abdominal compartment syndrome, and after the operation - the risk of postoperative complications and reduce the time spent in the hospital, reduce the risk of hernia formation in the projection of the dissection of the external oblique muscle belly.
