SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, specifically to herniology. At the navel level, a polypropylene ribbon 25–30 cm in length, 1.5–2 cm wide at its center, is fixed to the formed back wall of the vagina. One edge of the tape is held to the right of the back layer of the right vagina through the lateral edge to the front layer, completely covering the rectus muscle. Second edge of the tape is likewise drawn to the left. To the formed back layer of the vagina, and over the tape, a meshy endoprosthesis is hemmed with interrupted sutures. Right and left edges of the polypropylene tape are pulled together towards the center and hemmed to the point of fixation to the back layer of the vagina in such a way that the diastase of the rectus muscles is eliminated. Excess of tape is cut. Form the anterior wall of the vagina.

EFFECT: method strengthens the sheath of rectus abdominis muscle, that prevents their divergence and recurrence of the hernia.
