FIELD: medicine; surgery; herniology.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used for anterior abdominal wall repair in treating postoperative and recurrent ventral hernias of large sizes. After separation of hernial sac, separation of muscular-aponeurotic layers is performed on the right and on the left. Hernial sac and abdominal cavity are closed. Prolene mesh prosthesis is simulated with strips formed on both sides. Prosthesis is placed in the retromuscular space. Prolene strips are transmitted transaponeurotically from the inside to the outside. Rectus abdominis muscles are closed with a continuous prolene loop. Mesh prosthesis is straightened by pulling up the prolene strips. Prolene strips are fixed with interrupted prolene sutures; excess prolene strips are excised.
EFFECT: method enables reducing the hernia defect edges, avoiding the tissue tension and pinching in the area of the mesh material outlet through the musculo-aponeurotic edges of the hernia orifice, preserving the normal tissue trophism.
