In this case, the expansion of the urethra is carried out using a catheter. At the same time, the installation of the urethral catheter Sh No. 20 is first performed, the next day the urethral catheter Sh No. 20 is replaced with the urethral catheter Sh No. 22. One day later, the urethral catheter Sh No. 22 is replaced by the urethral catheter Sh No. 24. After 24 hours, the urethral catheter Sh No. 24 is replaced with the urethral catheter Sh No. 26, and the next day the resectoscope Sh No. 26 freely passes to the bladder. In a particular case, an obstacle insurmountable for the Sh No. 26 resectoscope is located in the hanging section of the urethra.

EFFECT: method makes it possible to increase the likelihood of performing transurethral resection of the prostate gland and bladder in patients with a narrow urethra without using special expensive equipment, without performing preliminary internal optical urethrotomy and without unnecessary trauma to the urethra, which aggravates the formation of cicatricial process, and to improve the results of treatment of benign prostatic hyperplasia gland and muscle non-invasive bladder cancer.
