SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to urology. A transurethral prostate resection is performed in a specific sequence: prostate tissue resection at 6 o’clock to a surgical capsule of the prostate from a neck of the urinary bladder to a seminal tubercle by the width of a resection loop, coagulation of vessels diffusely supplying the tissue of adenomatous nodules of the prostate. Resection of prostate tissue at 12 o'clock to surgical capsule of prostate from neck of bladder to area above seminal tubercle. Installing a resectoscope under a prostate capsule at 12 o’clock, resecting prostate tissue first from 3 o’clock. Then in direction of 9 o’clock to the surgical capsule of the prostate, followed by coagulation of the prostate vesicular arteries. Installing the resectoscope alternately above the right and left lobes of the prostate and performing the resection of the prostate adenoma top-down to the surgical capsule of the prostate.

EFFECT: method for the transurethral prostate resection enables improving the quality of treating the patients with benign prostatic hyperplasia, reducing the length of the operation, minimizing the risks of intraoperative complications, providing the more radical treatment.
