FIELD: pipe rolling.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the technology of cutting heated round blanks made of austenitic chromium-nickel steels with a circular saw and can be used in pipe rolling production. The method involves the separation of a steel billet with a circular saw made of low-alloy steel, containing an all-metal body with wedge-shaped cutting teeth located along the contour, each of which has a rear angle equal to 15 degrees. The front angle of the cutting edge of each tooth is (-5) – (-8) degrees. The lateral angle of the bevel of the saw teeth for a workpiece diameter of 300 mm is 16 degrees, for a diameter of 350 mm, 12.8 degrees and for a diameter of 410 mm, 9.1 degrees. At the same time, feeding of the saw is provided, equal to 3.2-3.6 mm/tooth and the cutting speed is within 70-105 m/s.
EFFECT: method is developed for cutting workpieces made of austenitic chromium-nickel steel 12X18N10T, 08X18N12T or 04X18N10. It improves the quality of the ends of the workpieces after cutting and increases durability of circular saws when moving from one diameter of the workpiece to another.
