FIELD: pipe rolling.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the technology of cutting heated round blanks made of austenitic chromium-nickel steels with a circular saw and can be used in pipe rolling production. The method involves the separation of a steel billet with a low-alloy steel circular saw containing an all-metal body with wedge-shaped cutting teeth located along the contour, each of which contains a front negative angle equal to (-6)-(-12) degrees, a rear angle equal to 15 degrees, and a side angle of the bevel of the saw tooth. For a workpiece diameter of 180 mm, the side angle of the bevel is 25 degrees, for a diameter of 250 mm, 21 degrees and for a diameter of 300 mm, 16 degrees. At the same time, feeding of the saw is provided, equal to 3.2-3.6 mm/tooth, and the cutting speed is within 70-105 m/s.
EFFECT: method is developed for cutting steels 12X18N10T, 08X18N12T or 04X18N10. The high quality of the surface of the ends of workpieces after cutting is achieved and the durability of the circular saws is increased when moving from one diameter of the cut workpiece to another.
