SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in banknote processing devices such as a banknote deposit machine, vending machines, and a money changer. The tampering detection mechanism detects that tampering means, which is a tampering means for removing the paper sheet, such as a cord or tape, is attached to the transported paper sheet. The tampering detection mechanism includes an open/close member that allows the paper sheet to travel in a rotational home position and blocks the paper sheet from traveling in a rotated position other than its original rotated origin, a rotatable member 70 that rotates integrally with an opening/closing member, a drive member 90 rotatably mounted relative to the opening/closing member, and a driving force transmission mechanism 100. The driving force transmission mechanism 100 includes at least one driven part located on the rotating member, at least one driving part that is located on the driving member and periodically drives and rotates the rotating member, and a damping member 101, which displaces the driven part and the driving part away from each other. A device for transporting paper sheets and a device for processing paper sheets are also proposed.
EFFECT: prevents illegal actions on the way of transporting the paper sheet and shortens the life of the engine.
