SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for producing 5,12-diamino-7,14-bis(aryl) -1,4,8,11-tetrasulfanylcyclotetradeca-5,12-diene-6,13-dicarbonitriles of general formula (1). The essence of the method lies in the interaction of malonodinitrile with arylaldehydes and 1,2-ethanedithiol at a molar ratio of 1:1:1 in the presence of a triethylamine catalyst in an amount of 0.03-0.07 mol per 1 mol of malonodinitrile at a temperature of 60°C and atmospheric pressure for 3 h in methanol.

EFFECT: method makes it possible to obtain compounds of formula (1), which can be used as chelating agents in coordination chemistry.
