Under operating conditions, the voltage values ​​at the input of the communication line and the current at the beginning of the communication line in the shunt mode of the rail circuit are measured and the value of the sum of the resistances of the communication line, matching transformer, connecting wires and train shunt formed by the railway rolling stock is calculated. The calculation of the resistance value of the train shunt is carried out by subtracting from the sum of the resistances of the communication line, the matching transformer, connecting wires and the train shunt formed by the railway rolling stock, the resistance value of the communication line, matching transformer and connecting wires in case of a short circuit in the secondary winding of the matching transformer and dividing the resulting difference by the value of the transformation ratio of the matching transformer, squared. EFFECT: invention is aimed at increasing accuracy of remote measurement of the train shunt resistance by taking into account the resistance value of the connecting wires.
