SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the forest and woodworking industries, in particular to chain saws. The working body of a portable motor saw includes saw bar (1) and guide device (2) consisting of guide balls (5) and mounting bars (6) with mounting means. The guide device is fixed and made flush in the grooves on case (3) and cover (4) of the saw by means of mounting bars with mounting means. The balls protrude on the amount of the technological gap.
EFFECT: efficiency of automatic chain tensioning when moving the saw bar in the clamped state is increased.
