FIELD: forest and wood-working industries. SUBSTANCE: device has driving and driven links. The driven link is made in the form of sliding nut 17 with external detent 9 in the middle part. The driving link is made in the form of mutually perpendicular, kinematically linked through gears, rotary axle 12 and screw 13. The screw longitudinal axis is parallel with the respective axis of saw tube 7. The gear of screw 13 is positioned on its one end, and at least its other end is positioned on the bearing surfaces of saw body 1. The screw threaded section is engaged with the threaded section of nut 17. The gear of rotary axle 12 is positioned between its ends, one of which has adjusting head 14 with an outlet to groove 15 of tube 7, to the area of hole 16 of protective casing 2 of the cutting chain apparatus. Ball supports are positioned between the ends of screw 13 and axle 12 of the driving link resting on the surface of body 1 and surface of body 1 facing these ends.
