FIELD: coatings.
SUBSTANCE: broadband electromagnetic absorbent coating is designed for absorbing electromagnetic radiation in ground, aviation, space and marine equipment in order to reduce radar observability thereof, as well as for absorbing electromagnetic radiation in shielding apparatuses, absorbing linings and bodies, anechoic measuring chambers and in equipment for population protection from non-ionizing radiation. A broadband electromagnetic absorbent coating containing a base made of no less than one layer of radio-transparent fabric with an absorbing film applied thereto on one or both sides made of radio-transparent material and containing nanoparticles of a copper-nickel alloy, characterized in the nanoparticles having a composition of 25 to 50 % wt. Cu, the rest Ni, and the size thereof not exceeding the thickness of the skin layer in the alloy at the maximum frequency of the absorption range of the coating.
EFFECT: use of the proposed broadband electromagnetic absorbent coating provides effective absorption of electromagnetic radiation in a wide frequency range (10 MHz to 700 GHz).
