FIELD: railway construction.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of the upper structure of the railway track, in particular to sleepers made of composite material. The sleeper is made in form of a rectangular parallelepiped. The sleeper contains the following components: high-density polyethylene, low-density polyethylene, polypropylene, linear low-density polyethylene in different ratios, with a total share of 20 to 40%, sawdust from 10 to 20%, alluvial sand from 40 to 70%. Along the entire length of the lower part of the sleeper there are depressions of different diameters and depths. The size of the recesses depends on the fraction of the base on which the sleeper is laid.

EFFECT: invention increases the strength of rail attachment to the sleeper.
