FIELD: railways.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the line for producing a railway sleeper made of high-density polyethylene. The technical result is achieved by a line for producing a railway sleeper made of high-density polyethylene, including recycled materials, with fillers, wherein said production line includes a rotary grinder for recycled polymers, wherefrom the resulting ground polymer raw materials is supplied into a hopper. The raw materials are then fed from said hopper to a mixer via a conveyor. The mixer is also supplied a mineral filler or a filler consisting of a secondary prepared material, such as: glass or crushed rubber chips from vehicle tyres, textile cord. After mixing, the composite mixture is fed into twin-screw extruders via conveyors in order to prepare a heated mass of the composite material. The screws of said extruders are coated to prevent sticking. The twin-screw extruders output the heated mass of composite material into a mould die. Then the mould is put under a hydraulic press, where the product is moulded. The walls of the mould have a coolant supply jacket. After moulding, the mould exits the press, and the moulded product moves further and is lowered into a container with water to cool. The water in said container is cooled by means of a chiller or a cooling tower. The mould is therein configured for placing X-shaped reinforcement along the entire length of the sleeper.

EFFECT: increase in the strength attributes of the sleeper in various planes along all strain axes and reduction in the level of strain of the composite material when the linear expansion changes as a result of the temperature difference.
