FIELD: building materials.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of building materials, namely to spatially reinforcing additives, it can be used for the preparation of polystyrene concrete. Polystyrene concrete for construction with fiber of polyethylene terephthalate (PET) containers is obtained from a mixture containing cement, sand, granular polystyrene and fiber. The mixture contains (per 1 m3): 300 kg of cement of 500 grade; 800 kg of sand of 0.5 fraction; 1.1 m3 of granular polystyrene; 200 l of water, from 10 to 20 kg of rectangular fiber with a width of 2 to 3 mm and a length of 18 to 30 mm. The fiber is obtained from PET containers of cylindrical shape, in the form of bottles installed at an angle of 15° to a horizontal knife when cutting them in a spiral.
EFFECT: spatial reinforcement of polystyrene concrete with spiral-shaped polyethylene terephthalate fiber increases the resistance of concrete to cracking, bending and breaking loads, allows one to get the necessary margin of safety, maintaining the shape of polystyrene concrete even with significant deformations, allowing the concrete to work “elastically”.
